Special Effects Manager

As you all may know, my name is Chris Bailey, the special effects manager of Sky High movie. My job in this spectacular movie is to create those amazing special effects; our department oversees the mechanical effects: also called practical or physical effects that create optical illusions during live-action shooting. Some of the special effects in the movie would be such as when our hero 'Will Stronghold' flies down and holds the Sky high with his almighty strength when the gravity is cut down by the villain of the movie. It has been an awesome experience to have been a part of this marvelous super-hero movie. My favorite part of the special effects in the movie would be 'let me think', 'aah, and yes’, in the scene of power placement we had included a rather interesting character the 'Carbon Copy Kid'. He could copy and change into any person, in the movie we had created a special effect making him look like he has changed into the Coach who was standing close by to the carbon copy kid. I personally had a magnificent journey working with the special effects crew on the movie. Sky High is a thrilling film with several scenes of spectacular but cartoonish for example where kids with super powers slam each other into walls and through windows, or zap one another with freeze rays and fireballs. Sky high is a remarkable, tremendous special effected Disney movie for teens and family to watch, enjoy and also it stays true to its rating as PG for violence, which is limited to a couple of cartoonish fight scenes.

Location Manager

I am Jeremy Alter, the location manager for the film of Sky High. I am responsible for finding and securing locations that can be used for the movie and coordinating the logistics involved for the production to successfully complete its necessary work. I am also the face of the production to the community and responsible for addressing the issues that may occur due to the production's impact on the community. Sky High school’s exterior shots were filmed at the Oviatt Library at California State University in Northridge. I have had a great pleasure in my job, exploring new areas and regions of the world and to choose a perfect location for a movie. My favorite scene in the movie since I have been a crew member of the movie would be the ending where everything in Sky high is back to normal activity and they show Sky high’s extraordinary external building where ‘will stronghold and Layla Williams are both floating in the air. Sky High is a fabulous, superhero movie that despites some flaws but is just a ton of fun. The movie provides with real life messages for kids and cool special effects to show the use of special super powers. Sky High is a funny, smart, and energetic. The movie has plenty of opportunities for laughter, so I won't ruin the surprise of discovery by telling you here. The soundtrack is strong with many of the songs used in inventive ways. With likeable characters, an involving and amusing plot, and a great direction, the film's hard to deny.

Gwen Grayson

I am Gwen Grayson, the main Antagonist of Sky high film. In the movie I am the arch enemy of the commander. I was actually Sue Tenny, a girl who was on sky high as the time as the commander and jetstream. Everyone thought that I disappeared before graduation but actually was turned into a baby by my own weapon, the pacifier. Then I was adopted by stitches and I was given the name Gwendolyn Grayson. I am a pretty and sweet girl who mostly wears pink. But this is was a trick to mask my true face. The other side to me is Royal pain, a villain. I am a technopath which means I can control technology with my mind.I have truly enjoyed and had fun in my role in the movie but hey it is WORK! All of us who worked together to make this movie a success has done a WONDERFUL no wait an ‘amazing’ job. I have made a huge group of friends throughout the movie and it has also been my greatest pleasure to work with all those magnificent people. My favorite part in Sky High would be when I revealed myself as Royal Pain in the homecoming dance and I used the pacifier to turn every hero including the teachers into babies. My favorite quote I loved was “That’s right! Royal Pain wasn't my mother! Royal is ME!” Sky high is a Disney teen comedy about the pitfalls of adolescent life but is much, much better than it seems like it should be in a large part due to its strong casting and assured direction. It is the finest piece of family entertainment and an awe-inspiring movie.

Layla Williams

Hi everyone, I am Layla Williams in the movie of Sky High. I am a sweet girl who believes in fairness between the superheroes and sidekicks. I am a pacifist, vegetarian, and feminist and I have the ability to make plants grow except for lemons – I could never grow lemons with my power. Even though I have this power, I was put in the sidekick or what you would say hero support class that was because I didn’t believe in the way that we were separated into heroes and sidekicks and so I refused to show my power in the power placement. I am also in love with my best friend Will Stronghold but he doesn't seem to notice that I like him! I really enjoyed working with all the actors that played a part in the wonderful, Disney movie of Sky High; this has given me a whole new experience and joy. My favorite part in the Sky High would be in the climax where I am being attacked by penny and i have to use my powers to control nature and tie up penny. That was a really exciting part in the movie for me because when we had to do the scenes in a normal version, it looked really funny and ridiculous. later when the special effects were added on by the help of Craig Bailey our special effects manager and all the people who created the effects, the scene was amazing! For all Disney lovers this movie is an amazing with virtually no profanity, only a few moments of teen romance, and some superhero violence that's never overdone. For those expecting another teen movie, Sky High rises far above the rest of this genre. The imaginative script adds the wonderful benefit of providing some great discussion starters and lessons for young audiences.
